Frequently Asked Questions

Taking that next step might be a bit intimidating.  In my experience, many concerns about the cost and/or the emotional risk involved in starting therapy.  Please don't let those worries prevent you from seeking the help you want.  Call us and ask your quesstions.  My staff or myself will do address your concerns before you step through the door.

We accept most insurance plans. If you are not sure, please ask!  Or you can call your member services number to find out if my practice is a provider for your particular policy.

Depending on your insurance policy, we will accept what the insurance allows.  For most policies, if there is a deductible yet to be met, that will need to be paid out of pocket.  If the deductible has been met, we will charge you only the copay and/or coinsurance.  There is a fee for late cancellations(not within 24 hours) and no-show appointments

If you don't have insurance, or have insurance that we cannot accept, we will work with you to set a mutually agreeable fee.

Every person is different.  Therapy is based on trust, comfort and honesty.  Depending on your particular issues and concerns, it is a decision to arrive at together with your therapist.  Most people spend 6 months to a year working to arrive at the solutions they are seeking, but for some it is more and for some it is less.  Be assured that the decison whether to continue in therapy is always yours, in conjunction with your therapist.
